Mang I'm glad at what God is doing thru CHH. How it is starting to make an impact in music. In spite of the 2 hits we have took in the ministry, God is still elevating our genre.
So here is my spill. IMO, I believe in a sense we are loosing focus. Many of times, I have to fall back away from the boards and refocus on what is this all about. Ask yourself when was the last time you hit the streets and really got it in with people? Really gave them the gospel. Led them into the sinners prayer? Hmmm, or are you so focus on working on your next album, you don't make time to hit the block? Don't get me wrong, I think it's dope that we hit the studio and use our gifts to give God glory and use it as witnessing tool. If ya'll didn't I would have no job lol! But is that what its all about? Think about it. Or are you not cut out for the streets because, erybody's not. Some are only for the church and we need that. But who's in the streets? I know there are some out outreaching the blocks but, its a very few. Jesus told the disciples (us) to go and teach the nations (Matt 28:19), not just at concerts, youth nite, or on videos. I was reading an article the other day, A man shot his 15 year old son in the back of his head execution. style because, he touched his 3 year old sister in a unproper manner. That's sad mang but that's because of the lack the word God in the streets. So the next time you are writing 16 bars saying you are in the streets, ask yourself am I really in the streets talking about Jesus... Matthew 9:37 The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few. What do you think? Please elaborate.
