Every once in a while you get get an opportunity to sit and talk to someone who is obviously ahead of their time in whatever it is they do. Imagine talking to Michael Jordan while he was at The University of North Carolina and asking him about his work ethic then or bumping into a young Barack Obama while he was just dreaming of holding a seat in the most powerful house in the country. Their dreams might sound lofty at first but if you listen long enough you start to think, "Something about this person makes me believe that they are what the standard will be set at one of these days." Courtney Peebles is one of those dudes. We're jumping back into part 2 of our interview with the pure "sound garden" that is J.R. Dig in and take notes folks!
This month Featured Producer is one of my FAVORITE Producers of all time, somebody I look up to as a Artist/Musician. As a matter of fact, when I first met JR. in South Carolina, it was his testimony that push me to dream big and go for it. IMO a lot of people (a least in the urban culture) slept on his 2 albums Metamorphosis and Life By Stereo. He was before our time but,now we have no choice but to catch up with JR. Interviewed by my mang Swing. Here is Courtney Peebles a.k.a. JR.
An award nominated producer/artist, and founder of I Qwit Music, Wit has been bringing a fresh sound to the Hip Hop scene with flares of Alternative and East Coast music.
